Mike is a leading expert on carbon accounting. He is a professor at Lancaster University and founder of Small World Consulting. His books include How Bad Are Bananas? The Carbon Footprint of Everything, There Is No Planet B and A Climate of Truth, and he is a contributing author to The Climate Book created by Greta Thunberg.

Emily is the net zero policy lead for the UK’s National Standards Body, the British Standards Institution (BSI), and an Associate of Oxford Net Zero, focusing on the role of standards in accelerating the global net zero transition. Emily was a convenor of the ISO Net Zero Guidelines development process in 2022, which now forms the basis of the ISO net zero standard, the world’s first international standard on net zero emissions for organisations. Before joining BSI, Emily worked at the UK Government’s Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) as a Senior Policy Advisor on Net Zero Governance for the UK’s Net Zero Strategy.

He was lead author of the world’s first standard for hourly electricity tracking - backed by 100+ organisations including UN Energy, Google, and Microsoft - and regularly engages with governments and industry to shape next-generation clean energy policy.

Duncan Oswald is Climate Science Lead at Sage, bringing more than 25 years’ experience in environmental consultancy. Hanna’s research focuses on the development of efficient and implementable decarbonization strategies and instruments. Tim Croker is Head of Carbon Accounting at Climatiq and a former Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA). With over 17 years’ experience in carbon accounting, he has worked across public and private sectors to build robust, science-aligned emissions tools and strategies. At Climatiq, Tim leads the science and data team, helping organisations integrate accurate, audit-ready carbon data into their decision-making and reporting systems.

Madeleine is the Director of the Verified Carbon Market (VCM+) Coalition and the Technical Lead for the Taskforce for Corporate Action Transparency (TCAT). Madeleine joined the Taskforce for Corporate Action Transparency and VCM+ Coalition from McKinsey & Company, where she was a leader in the Sustainability Practice and a founding member of the Nature Service Line.

Lindsay is Co‑Founder & COO of Sumday, a leading carbon accounting platform. A qualified CPA with more than a decade’s experience—from audit to sustainability strategy—he’s on a mission to equip accountants and organisations with the tools and education needed to embed carbon accounting alongside financial reporting.

Richard is a full‑time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). Previously, he was Deputy Dean and Professor of Accounting at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where he led sustainable business initiatives and taught corporate reporting and sustainability disclosure. Katri is a technical sustainability expert leading carbon accounting and net zero work at Bioregional. With a decade of experience across data, reporting, and carbon markets, she helps organisations turn complex sustainability goals into practical action. Katri chairs the Carbon Accounting Alliance’s Offsetting and Neutrality group and is a regular speaker on carbon and decarbonisation.

Dr. Green is co-founder of MyCarbon and Chair of Professionalisation and Training at the Carbon Accounting Alliance. With deep expertise in carbon quantification and net zero strategy, he’s advised FTSE 100 firms, contributed to COP26 work, and regularly speaks at UN climate events – all driven by a mission to reduce the impact of the climate crisis
